- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this request is 70181-A-Q115 and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 05-43) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This procurement is set-aside for small business. The applicable NAICS classification code is 432690. The small business size standard is 100 employees. The PSC code for this procurement is 6117. SCOPE OF WORKThe U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is soliciting a request for proposal for supply and delivery of an alternative energy system consisting of two Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems. The PV Systems will be designed to serve three remote facilities at two locations for Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge on Kodiak Island, Alaska. One location serves a single facility at the south end of Camp Island (Pilot Cabin). The second location serves two facilities in the central part of the island (Refuge Cabins). All three of these facilities are located on Camp Island in Karluk Lake approximately 70 miles southwest of Refuge headquarters in Kodiak, Alaska. The contractor will design PV systems in accordance with the specifications and supply the equipment for the proposed design. The Refuge will install the system, following the design provided.
