- Description
- The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Command at Tinker AFB, OK, has a requirement for Shot Peening Equipment. One machine will be steel cut wire and the other glass. This notice is being posted in anticipation of a combined synopsis/solicitation to be posted later this month. A complete Statement of Work (SOW), drawings, and other information will be posted with the solicitation. A brief description is provided below: In addition to the equipment, installation, start-up, training, supplies, and other miscellaneous equipment needed to provide a complete system is in order. Two shot peen machines is needed. One will use steel/cut wire shot for the peening of ferrous alloy parts. The other will use glass bead shot for peening of aluminum and aluminum alloys parts. The peening machines will be automatic with manual capabilities and intensity verification. The peening media will be separated by shot screen classifiers with screens for each size of media. The system will have a pneunatic recovery system to recover, classify and reuse the shot in the prope shot delivery units. This notice is for information only. Do not respond to this notice.
