Description
The Contracting Department, Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), San Diego, CA, 92134 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement for service maintenance on Medrad Coils. The Government intends to solicit with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), sole source justification is based on Medrad software and many of the hardware parts are proprietary that can only be serviced by the OEM (Medrad). This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone inquiries will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit literature detailing how their services meet the Government requirements to the Contracting Officer. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the Government. A complete RFQ package (N00259-10-T-0645) will be available by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http:// www.neco.navy.mil. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334510. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov.
