Description
This is for a firm fixed-price 5-year Requirements contract with a Basic Year and 4 One-Year Options for the repair of the following items: NSN: 6120-01-493-3059UC; NOUN Power Transformer; P/N: 716080-100. The Basic Year quantity has a Best Estimated Quantity of 3 each for repair and 1 each for No Fault Found (NFF). The quantity on each of the 4 Option Years will also have a Best Estimated Quantity of 3 each for repair and 1 each for NFF. FUNC: This item is the transformer rectifier unit for the C-5 Emergency Generator. This is a critical application item that is essential to weapon system performance and operation. DLVY: The contractor shall repair all reparable carcasses and return to the Air Force within 30-days after it is received at the contractor's facility. NSN: 6130-01-535-7275UC; NOUN: Battery Charger; P/N: 716110-2. The Basic Year quantity has a Best Estimated Quantity of 80 each for repair and 20 each for NFF. The quantity on each of the 4 Option Years will also have a Best Estimated Quantity of 80 each for repair and 20 each for NFF. FUNC: This item is a battery control device related to the C-5 Emergency Power System Upgrade (EPSU). This is a critical application item that is essential to weapon system performance and operation. DLVY: The contractor shall repair all reparable carcasses and return to the Air Force within 30-days after it is received at the contractor's facility. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 24 SEP 2010 with the approximate response date of 25 OCT 2010. Solicitation will be available for viewing or downloading at www.fedbizopps.gov only. No telephone requests. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE ISSUED. This acquisition is restricted to GE Aviation Systems, Long Island, 1000 MacArthur Memorial Hwy, Bohemia, NY 11716-0999. Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), "The property or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency."
