Description
DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Confidence has a requirement for blankets for the port and starboard main diesel engine. The engines are 16 cylinder ALCO 251-E Diesel engines. The blankets/covers will cover the following sections, #1 Front Manifold Blanket #2 Back Manifold Blanket #3 Rear Turbo Blanket #4 Middle Manifold Blanket MANIFOLD END CAP. The total quantity is 10 which equates to 2 for each section of the engine or 5 blankets for each engine. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Therefore, please read this entire notice, the instructions herein, and the attachment documents carefully. This acquisition is on a(n)Total Small Business Set-Aside HOW TO RESPOND: Interested parties must submit a price quote by 2:00 PM, ET, September 09, 2010. Cost Proposal: provide Firm Fixed-Price. Electronic transmissions to Falcon.Albino@uscg.mil are PREFERRED, and must be timely. Evaluation Criteria: Award will be based on Best Value THE BLANKETS MUST BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 500-1500 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT WITH COST BEING SECOND TO THIS TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION. Questions about this requirement must be in writing and submitted by fax or e-mail. Telephone inquiries are strongly discouraged. All inquiries must include the solicitation number, your full name, organization name, address, phone and fax numbers. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to ensure the quote is received by the date and time shown above.
