Description

National Capital Region Contracting Center (NCRCC) intends to award a sole source contract to Jeskell, Inc. The Information Technology Agency Data Center (ITA-DC) intends to upgrade (2) IBM z10 mainframes so that Information Technology Agency Data Center (ITA-DC) will be able to comply with system security requirements, meet availability and performance metrics, maintain (COOP) mission and leverage the LINUX virtualization capacity to increase server consolidation and offer enterprise cloud computing services. These requirements are as follows: "Upgrade the current z/9 Model-2094-EC S08-405 machine (z9EC E10-405) s/n 77B30 at the Pentagon to a z/10 Model-2097-E12 (z10EC-406) upgrade and factory downgraded and delivered as a -405. "Upgrade the current z890 Model-2086-A04 machine (z890-A04 270) s/n 2A5AA at Site 2 (Off-Site) to a z/10 Model-2098-E10 (z10BC-V02) upgrade and factory downgraded to an A02 with Disaster Recovery (DR) to R04. This z/10 shall be delivered as an A02. "A Capacity Backup Upgrade (CBU) Agreement shall be put in place that will allow the z/10 Model-2098-E10 (z10BC-V02) at Site 2 (Off-Site) to operate as an R04 for CBU test purposes and in the event of a disaster for a total of 3 (three) years and includes 3 (three) tests. The Period of Performance for the CBU starts after the upgrade of Site 2.
