- Military Sealift Fleet Support Command, Ship Support Unit Guam anticipates awarding a contract on a non-competitive basis (sole source) to Guam Industrial Services Inc. (dba Guam Shipyard) for Regular Overhaul for USNS AMELIA EARHART (T-AKE 6) Solicitation Number N40446-11-R-0006. The period of performance for USNS AMELA EARHART (T-AKE 6) is to begin 31 Mar 2011 and end 11 May 2011. Major work items for USNS AMELIA EARHART include: (1) Ship Potable and Cargo Potable Water Tank Repairs; (2) Ship Fuel Tanks Repairs; (3) Main Diesel Engine Exchange Transitions Piece Replacement; (4) Central Seawater System Piping Repairs; (5) Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) Maintenance and Tests. These requirements are for approved MSRA shipyards only. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is 27 September 2010.
