Description
This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Chapter 19.502, the Government shall set-aside all procurements with a dollar threshold between $3,000 and $100,000 for small business concerns. This procurement is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. A small business concern is defined as a concern (including all of its subsidiaries) having 100 employees or less. If your company has 100 employees or less, your company is considered a small business under this procurement. If the office does not receive any acceptable quotes from qualified small business concerns, the set-aside will roll over to an unrestricted open market solicitation. ALL SIZE BUSINESSES ARE ENCOURAGED TO OFFER A QUOTE. Quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Quotation No. Q3400100179 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract for Commercial Items, using simplified acquisition procedures. Responses are due on or before September 17, 2010 by 4:30 p.m. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 423830; the size standard is less than 100 employees. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43. The estimated magnitude of this procurement is between $15,000.00 and $30,000.00. The National Park Service, National Mall and Memorial Parks, has a requirement to purchase one (1) GAS Double Length, Double Width Forge Furnace with UV Control. The specifications include but are not limited to the following: Heavy gauge welded steel construction with cast iron burner manifold and special steel tie- rod reinforcement. Fireboxes are heavily insulated and super duty hard burned firebrick is used on all wearing surfaces. Gas and air adjustment are convenient to the operator. Forge shall come complete with a quite powerful blower, swinging adjustable refractory lid, adjustable front tool rack solenoid safety valve, and exclusive automatic spark ignition systems. Firebox size 36" Long, 18" Wide, 7" Deep. Over all size 56" Long,36" Wide, 30" High. Twelve burnersGas connected input BTU/ Hr: 800.000 GAS Double Length, Double Width Forge Furnace w/ UV Control One (1) Each Unit Price $_____________ Delivery Time ARO (After Receipt of Order) ____________________________________________Shipping and any other associated charges shall be included in the unit prices above. EVALUATION OF COMMERCIAL ITEM: The government will award to the responsive/responsible offeror based on the following: 1. Technical capability of the item offered to fulfill the Government's requirement. Provide cut sheets for "or equal" products being offered.2. Price3. Delivery The Government reserves the right to award to the offeror providing the best value to the Government. Award may not necessarily be made to the offeror submitting the lowest price.
