- The contract resulting from this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the abatement of the Negich Subsidence emergency project in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, PA. The work to be performed under the contract involves abatement of three subsidence areas. Work will consist of excavating subsidence area/s; backfilling with stone and/or soil; removing, re-establishing, and/or replacing the storm drains across the area/s; obtaining positive surface drainage; and restoring all disturbed areas by reseeding and replacing any damaged landscaping or other affected amenities. The estimated price range is under $12,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition in 237990. The small business size standard is $33.5M. A PRE-BID CONFERENCE IS BEING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2010 AT 1:00 PM. PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE TO MEET AT THE PROJECT SITE LOCATED AT 123 CANNON DR, GREENSBURG, PA 15601. REFER TO SPECIFICATIONS FOR DIRECTIONS. Bids will be opened on September 23, 2010. An original hard copy of the completed and signed IFB along the AML Contractor Information Form are due at the depository in 3 Parkway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 on September 23, 2010 @ 2:00 pm. Electronic and/or faxed bids will not be accepted. Contractors doing business with the Government are required to have a DUNs number, register in the Central Contractor Registration at ccr.gov data base and complete on line representations and certifications at orca.bpn.gov.
