- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Butner, North Carolina, intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source, to Gambro Renal Products, Inc., 14143 Denver West Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80401, for the provision of preventive maintenance services for 20 Phoenix system dialysis machines located within the Federal Correctional Complex, Federal Medical Center, Butner, North Carolina. The Contractor shall provide qualified service staff, necessary test equipment, and a parts inventory as required. Performance inspections will include a complete inspection and calibration of each unit as described in the current equipment services manual. The NAICS code is 561990 with a size standard of $6.5. The period of performance for this procurement will be October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. Other vendors who believe they can meet the requirements may provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by September 20, 2010, 4:00 p.m. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability of the vendor to supply products and services that will comply with the requirements and perform in a satisfactory manner. Vendors must also provide references from other customers who are using these products and services, and show that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Interested firms must provide a Capability Statement with the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone and Fax Number, Email Address, Business Size, and DUNS Number. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Gambro Renal Products. Responses may be emailed to T1Cooper@bop.gov or Hday @bop.gov by the deadline stated above. All vendors are hereby notified if your response is not received by the date and time specified in this notice, it will not be considered. Faith-Based and Community -Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible
