Description
The purpose of this Amendment is to delete the previous description and replace it with the attached revised description. The attached description hereby replaces the original combined solicitation and synopsis posted on September 7, 2010. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, VA-260-10-RQ-1233, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43 effective August 2, 2010 and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation Supplement (VAAR) current to January 7, 2010. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 339113, Size Standard: 500 Employees. This procurement is unrestricted. Salient Characteristic The Transport Chairs should be one piece and have Anti-Microbial removable cushions that are able to be stacked like grocery carts. The brake system should be located on the top bar and able to be engaged once if you let go. High quality anti- tip castors with a little wheel that extends behind. Front wheel drive is needed with a Non-folding frame along with any anti-theft features along with lifting armrests to allow side entry. Deep comfortable seats are required and 450lb capacity minimum with a Bariatric version that is higher.
