- Description
- This is a synopsis/notification of a competitive construction project utilizing full and open procedures as required per NAF regulations, for the acquisition of a new FamCamp for Buckley AFB, CO. The contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for selective site demolition and construction of a new FamCamp at Buckley AFB. The following is a brief description of the work requirements for this contract: Selective demolition, soil testing and hazardous material abatement. New construction includes concrete and masonry walls, structural floors, casework, doors, frames, hardware, interior glazing, finishes, toilet and shower partitions, signage and other specialties. Also included, a fire suppression system and fire detection/alarm system, plumbing and plumbing fixtures, HVAC, electrical and lighting. Road work and other items related to the construction of RV pads. All other requirements associated with new construction. The proposed contract will be a non-commercial, firm fixed price construction contract with Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) for Nonappropriated Funds. The magnitude is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation information will be posted on FedBizOpps at http://www.fbo.gov. Estimated issue date for the Request for Proposal FA2543-10-R-0012 is on or about 15 October 2010. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102; therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. As a result of the posting, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder's mailing list. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238190, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a size standard of $14.5 million.
