The purpose of this Request for Offers is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform all work associated with the extensive repair/rebuild of the Delle, UT RCAG access road. Magnitude of construction is NTE $100,000. This project is set-aside for competition exclusively amongst small business concerns as certified with the Small Business Administration. The NAICS Code for this project is 238910. The Small Business Administration Size Standard for NAICS Code is $14.0 million The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to the following: The following items are to be performed under this contract: Road Surface:a.Road surface is to be milled. Existing road surface in many areas is solid rock and will require resurfacing. Use of explosives to remove the solid rock is not to be allowed.b.Millings left behind may be up to a 4" diameter rock.c.Any portion of the road that cannot be milled (due to rock conditions) will be excluded from this contract and FAA will not be billed for that portion.Drainage:a.Where applicable, milling of the road surface shall create a ditchline between the road and the hill-side. This will allow for proper drainage of rain and snowmelt.b.Road will be sloped toward the hill-side where possible. Existing road has sloped away from the hill-side creating washout conditions as well as dangerous driving conditions. Submission of Offer: Offers are due on September 13, 2010 at 4:00 pm (PST).
