- The proposed contract action is for open market equipment and warranties for which the government intends to award a GSA task order. USSS anticipates making award to Smith's Detection for Explosive Trace Detectors and ancillary accessories to include ETD cabinet, trolley, UPS Battery back-up, 3-year standard on-site service, extended consumables package, and training. This product was competed via GSA pursuant to FAR 8.405-1(c). An award is expected on our about Monday September 13, 2010 pursuant to Smith's GSA schedule GS-07F-9597G. Ancillary products included in this award are considered open market. A written solicitation will not be issued for this requirement. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Responses may only be sent via email to the contract specialist identified in this notice. Please note that this is only a notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any information received within five (5) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
