Description
The Mission & Installation Contracting Command MICC Center at Fort McPherson, GA intends to procure on a sole source basis with a small business, Norsat International (America) Inc, 125 Rowell Ct, Falls Church, VA 22046-3126. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334220 and the dollar amount is 153,000.00. The service will require 45 day technical mission, Nov Dec 2010. 1 Satellite Engineer to perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair that includes replacement for broken inoperable parts for DVIDS transmitters in theater; restocking the spare parts pool in Baghdad and Balad Iraq; and technician will travel to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar to Upgrade the data interface and User refreshment training as necessary. Government will provide: Transportation from a major North American Airport Hub to the Afghan and Iraq theatre, secure transport in and around Afghanistan and Iraq, and secure lodging and food will be made available at normal rate. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the service that will satisfy the Governments requirements. Any firm that believes it can provide the service described above may submit a capability statement via written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. No multiple awards will be made. All responses received within three (3) days of the date of this publication (by 4:30pm, Wednesday, Sep 8, 2010) for this advertisement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All interested parties shall email Linda G.
