Description
This project consists of the paving construction of two areas: the Parallel Taxiway and the Live Ordinance Live Area (LOLA). The Parallel Taxiway consists of the construction of 1.25 miles of rigid airfield pavement between two taxiways. The airfield pavement should be designed for medium load mixed airfield traffic aircraft. Work on the Taxiway also requires grading to match existing runway and taxi elevations, the design and construction of drainage structures to carry surface water runoff to water holding areas, and the extension of airfield lighting along the new Taxiway to connect with existing light vault. The Live Ordnance Live Area (LOLA) consists of the construction of 25,000SM (29,900SY) of rigid concrete pavement with 10' flexible asphalt shoulders to park aircraft with live ordnance adjacent to an existing Taxiway. This pavement should also be designed for medium load mixed traffic aircraft. The pad is designed to park 6 aircraft at one time. The LOLA is designed to drain surface rainwater runoff away from the pad. Airfield lighting is also required around the perimeter of the LOLA.
