Description
RECOVERY - AEROSPACE TESTING AND FACILITIES OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE (ATOM)SUPPORT CONTRACT NNA09DB39C. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLEONLY TO JACOBS TECHNOLOGY INC UNDER CONTRACT NUMBER NNA09DB39C FOR ATOM SUPPORT AT NASAAMES RESEARCH CENTER (ARC), MOFFETT FIELD, CA, THIS IS AUTHORIZED UNDER THE AMERICANRECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (RECOVERY ACT). ARC intends to issue Task Order A003, entitled: Sonic boom test hardware development. The purpose of Task Order A003 is to develop hardware items for use in upcoming sonicboom tests in the NASA Ames 9X7 Supersonic Wind Tunnel specifically aimed at assessingsonic boom levels that can be expected from future aircraft designs and is funded by theRecovery Act.Specifically, this Recovery Act requirement shall include development of a sonic boompressure rail standoff that can be used to adapt a 5.25-in. high rail to a 14-in. highrail, development of window blanks for the Ames 9X7 Supersonic Wind Tunnel, fabricationof roll mechanism adapter for sonic boom wind tunnel tests, and development of a linearactuator for positioning the aircraft model longitudinally in the wind tunnel.Task Order A003 will be funded by the Recovery Act. A contract modification will beissued to fully fund this task order. The Aerospace Testing and Facilities Operations andMaintenance (ATOM) contract NNA09DB39C was awarded on a competitive basis.
