Description
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center - Fort Knox is conducting market research for the following requirement: Casualty Support Services (CSS) for Army Human Resource Command (AHRC) Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Operations Center (CMAOC) The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of contractors who can support this requirement as a prime contractor. Services would include, but are not limited to: accounting for, reporting, and documenting all Army casualties; providing outreach support services, ensuring that human remains are positively identified and properly prepared for disposition; tracking personal effects of wounded and deceased; receive, safeguard, inventory, store, process and make final disposition of personal effects of all killed, injured, medically-evacuated or missing Department of Defense (DOD) personnel resulting from contingency operations; administer and provide logistical coordination for Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Branch (CMAB), Case Management Branch (CMB), and Joint Personal Effects Deport (JPED) with the Dover Port Mortuary (DPM) which is operated by the US Air Force. This announcement is not a request for proposal. It is a market research tool being used to determine procurement strategy. Appropriate procurement strategy will be determined after consideration of industry response to this sources sought announcement. The government is not obligated to, and will not, pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this announcement. A statement of interest in this requirement. 2. A synopsis of the contractor's capabilities, past performance and experience information, including contacts, for contracts similar to the services listed above. 3. Company size: Small or large, HUBZone, 8(a), SDB, Woman-owned, Service disabled veteran-owned. 4. Contact information, to include name, e-mail address, phone number, and fax number. 5. Teaming Arrangements: Anticipated teaming arrangements (delineate between work accomplished by prime and work accomplished by teaming partners)
