- W91QF710R0054 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Myer Directorate of Contracting has a requirement to Replace Columns and Handrail on Fort McNair, Washington, D.C. MICC-Myer DOC intends to award a 8(A) firm fixed price contract to Polu Kai Services, LLC, 137 North Washington Street, Suite 301, Falls Church, Virginia. This will be a Set-Aside requirement to 8(A) under DFAR authority 252.219-7009. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 M. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 1799. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. MICC-Myer DOC will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information. All documents submitted will not be returned. All responses are due by 12 PM (Eastern Standard Time) on Thursday, September 9, 2010. Performance Statement of Work Replace Columns and Handrail Fort McNair, Washington, D.C. REPLACE COLUMNS 1-15 FORT-MCNAIR, WASHINGTON D.C. 1.Release columns and bases for manufacturing. 2.Remove the existing columns on Quarters 1. 3.Install the new columns on Quarters 1. 4.Prep and paint new columns with 1 coat of primer and 3 coats of finish paint. 5.Prep and paint the 7 window frames underneath the portico (storm windows and framing under storm windows excluded). 6.Install scaffolding on the exterior of the portico of Quarters 1. 7.Remove existing columns on Quarters 2. 8.Install new columns on Quarters 2. 9.Install the Widows Walk railing into pitch pockets provided by others on Quarters 1. 10.Tie the Widows Walk railing into the bump out walls. 11.Upon completion of the column installation on Quarters 2, move to Quarters 3 continuing until reaching Quarters 15. 12.Upon completion of the fascia painting and Widows Walk railing, PKS will relocate from Quarters 1 to Quarters 2 continuing until reaching Quarters 15. Clarifications: 1. Davis Bacon Wage General Decision DC20100005 dated 3/12/2010 used. 2.Due to the lack of storage space available within the confines of Fort McNair, off-site storage has been included.
