- W91QF710T0172 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Myer Directorate of Contracting has a requirement to Replace carpet tile and installation of framing and drywall on Fort McNair, Washington, D.C. MICC-Myer DOC intends to award a 8(A) firm fixed price contract to CATI Environmental & Construction, Inc. 7312 Cantwell Rd. Windsor Mills, Maryland. This will be a Set-Aside requirement to 8(A) under DFAR authority 252.219-7009. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238310 with a size standard of $14.0 M. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 5640. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. MICC-Myer DOC will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information. All documents submitted will not be returned. All responses are due by 12 PM (Eastern Standard Time) on Thursday, September 9, 2010. Statement of Work Replace carpet tile and installation of framing and drywall Fort McNair, Washington, D.C. SCOPE OF WORK -DRYWALL 1.CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE LABOR, MATERIALS, AND NECESSARY EQUIPMENT TO INSTALL FRAMING AND DRYWALL TO SURROUND THE PROPOSED NEW CONFERENCE ROOM AREA IN THE UPSTAIRS OF BUILDING 18 ON FORT MCNAIR, DC. 1.SITE: UPSTAIRS BUILDING 18, FORT MCNAIR, DC. 1.CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL APPROXIMATELY 30 FEET OF FRAMING AND DRYWALL (10 FEET TALL) TO SURROUND AND ENCLOSE THE PROPOSED NEW CONFERENCE ROOM AREA. 3.1 CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL A DOOR WITH FRAME CONTAINING AN UPPER HALF WINDOW THAT IS NO WIDER THAN 6 INCHES. 3.2 CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL MEASUREMENTS. 3.3 ALL PAINT USED IN THE PROJECT WILL BE COLOR MATCHED TO THE CURRENT COLOR ON THE SURROUNDING WALLS. 3.4 ALL WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN A CAREFUL WORKMAN LIKE MANNER AND SHALL PRESENT A STRAIGHT AND NEAT APPEARANCE. 3.5 CONTRACTOR SHALL SCHEDULE INSTALLATION OF DRYWALL WITH AAOG PERSONEL, JOHN MONZILLO AT 202-685-5090. 4. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS: 4.1 CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY MEASUREMENTS AND SITE CONDITIONS. 4.2 ANY GOVERNMENT PROPERTY DAMAGED BY CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REPAIRED TO A CONDITION ACCEPTABLE TO THE GOVERNMENT AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE GOVERNMENT. 4.3 ALL DEBRIS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE AND CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE DAILY PROJECT STATUS REPORTS TO UNIT REPRESENTATIVE. AREA SHALL BE KEPT CLEAN AT ALL TIMES AND EXCESSIVE DUST WILL BE CONTROLLED. REPLACE CARPET SCOPE OF WORK-Carpeting 1CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE LABOR, MATERIALS, AND NECESSARY EQUIPMENT TO REMOVE EXISTING CARPET IN THE DOWNSTAIRS AREA OF BUILDING 18 ON FORT MCNAIR, DC, AND REPLACE WITH SELECTED CARPET TILES. 2.SITE: DOWNSTAIRS BUILDING 18, FORT MCNAIR, DC. 3.CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ALL CARPET FROM THE DOWNSTAIRS AREA OF BUILDING 18, FORT MCNAIR, DC. 3.1 CONTRACTOR SHALL PREP ALL FLOORS, INCLUDING ALL SANDING AND SKIMMING NECESSARY FOR PROPER CARPET INSTALLATION. 3.2 CONTRACOR SHALL INSTALL APPROXIMATELY 235 LINEAR FEET OF SELECTED CARPET TILES IN THE QUARTER TURN LAYOUT. 3.3 CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL MEASUREMENTS. 3.4 ALL WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN A CAREFUL WORKMAN LIKE MANNER AND SHALL PRESENT A STRAIGHT AND NEAT APPEARANCE. 3.5 CONTRACTOR SHALL SCHEDULE INSTALLATION OF CARPET WITH AAOG PERSONEL, JOHN MONZILLO AT 202-685-5090. 4.
