- NSN 1R-3110-015421973-V2, REF NR 4950821, QTY 357 EA, DELIVERY FOB ORIGIN.This requirement is for the procurement of an item where Hamilton Sundstrand,San Diego (55820) is the only approved manufacturing source. This part requiresengineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintainthe quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills,and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition ofthe part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights,manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically availableto the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining thequality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with thedesign control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Governmentengineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by theGovernment engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in theintended application. -SEE NOTES 9, 22, 26
