The request for this specific type of instrumentation is in response to a National Mandate requiring laparoscopic instrumentation to be fully disassembled for cleaning and sterilization. This instrumentation from Olympus Medical was chosen because of the ergonomics and workability of the instruments and the ability to pull them completely apart to be cleaned and sterilized. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 339112. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than September 6,, 2010 at 4:00pm EST. Responses should be sent to corey.labbe@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
