- Synopsis: SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY: This is a Sources Sought request for information to be used for market research purposes, only. The Government is conducting market research to assist in determining if there are sources who can deliver and install one (1) each 750 foot diameter double strand crash barrier cable with post at Camp Rudder Ranger Camp, Eglin AFB, Florida; deliver and install two (2) each *K4 Crash rated gates at Camp Merrill Ranger Camp, Dahlonega, Georgia and deliver and install one (1) each *K12 Crash rated gate to Fort Benning, Georgia. **NOTE: SD-STD-02.01 Revision B, U.S. Department of State Designation crash test rating that indicates vehicle speed during crash test and are based on the kinetic energy of the vehicle during impact. Results are normally combined with the L ratings. SD-STD-02 Rating determined from perpendicular barrier impact of 15,000 lb. (6810kg) vehicle. K indicates the DOS certified barriers maximum vehicle speed rating and L indicates the test vehicles distance of penetration upon impact with barrier. (*K12= 50 mph (80 kph) and L3= 3 feet (915 mm) or less). (*K4 = Indicates a barrier with this rating can withstand a 15,000 pound vehicle crashing perpendicularly into the barrier at 30 mph or 48 kph). Normally the K ratings are combined with an L series penetration rating. The Government is seeking responses from ANY vendor capable of providing services in this Primary Service Area. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Responses to this announcement are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant solicitation for this requirement. The government shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred in response to this sources sought announcement. Participation is strictly voluntary. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Ft. Benning, GA, has an anticipated requirement for Delivery and Installation of K4 and K12 Crash Rated Gates and cabling at Camp Rudder, Camp Merrill and Fort Benning as indicated above. If a solicitation is issued and a contract awarded it is anticipated that it will be a firm fixed price contract. The anticipated NAICS is 332323 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. Interested respondents should submit a Company profile to include office location(s), DUNS number/CAGE Code, Tax Identification Number and a statement regarding current small business status to include small business type(s)/certification(s) such as: SDB, 8a, HubZone, SDVOB, etc. Responses shall be submitted by email to Terrhonda C.
