- QUESTION #1: LINE 0005: (Qty 148) UE343E HP 4Y NBD/Disk Retention WS Only SVC In "LINE 0005" it specifies "4 Years Next Business Day (NBD) with Disk Retention". However, it also specifies "with HP 3Y 4H 24X7 Onsite Workstation Hardware Support". So, there appears to be a conflict. What is the desired support level here: a) 4 Years Next Business Day (NDB) support with disk retention? b) 3 Years 4Hr 24x7 Onsite support, WITH 4 Yr Disk Retention c) 3 Years 4HR 24x7 Onsite support - WITH 3 Yrs Disk Retention ANSWER #1: 4 year Next Business Day support with Disk Retention *********************** QUESTION #2: LINE 0005: HP Z800 Workstation Base Unit, Intel®5520 chipset Part# AY032AV-SEC-HP This line item specifies Part# "AY032AV-SEC-HP" which is an 8100 Workstation, not a Z800 workstation. I believe the part# should be "FF825AV". Please confirm. ANSWER #2: The correct part number should be FF825AV for the HP Z800 Workstation Base Unit, with Intel 5520 chipset. *********************** QUESTION #3: LINE 0004 (Qty 19) 8100 Workstations it specifies "HP 3 Years 4Hr 24x7 Onsite support" However, in Attachment #2 for 8100 Workstations it specifies "4 Years Parts & Labor Next Business Day, On-Site Warranty". So, there appears to be a conflict. "PN# UE343E" appears to be a duplicate of the original item above. *********************** QUESTION #5: Line 0004: (Attachment 2) 8100 Workstation: Regarding Custom NGA Disk Image Loading and Custom BIOS Settings, is the intent to have the NGA custom disk image loaded, pre-installed prior to shipping? And, BIOS pre-loaded? Please elaborate. ANSWER #5: For the Attachment 2 - Qty 19, the NGA Disk Image should be loaded. The NGA Bios settings should be implemented prior to shipment. For Attachment 3 - Qty 42, the NGA Disk Image should NOT be loaded. Our system administrators will implement our build. The NGA Bios settings should be implemented prior to shipment. *********************** QUESTION #6: Line 0006: H7574E is not a part number for 146 GB SAS HARD DRIVE, it is part# for 3 Yrs 4-Hour, 24x7 Onsite, HW Support. Do you want to add (Qty 1) additional or (Qty 2) additional HP 146 GB SAS drives to the Z800 configuration? ANSWER #6: We do NOT need the 146 GB SAS Hard Drives witht he Z800s. This was a holdover from our previous HP 9400 configuration. *********************** QUESTION #7: Line 0006: The heading states "Tri-Head configuration with 2 Video Cards"? Do you want 2 of the NVIDIA Quadro FX3800 video cards installed in each of these two Z800 workstations? ANSWER #7: We DO NEED 2 video cards for each of the Z800 workstations ordered. *********************** QUESTION #8: Z800 Workstations (Attachment #1): Regarding the "Fiber Optic Network Interface Card (SC connector)".... Are you requesting: a) N-GSX-SC-01 Network Transitions GigE NIC SC Connector Card b) N-FX-SC-02 100 Mbps card c) N-GSX-SC-002 1000 Mbps card d) Or, another fibre channel card other than one of the above 3 ANSWER #8: We want the N-GSX-SC-01 Network Transitions GigE NIC SC Connector Card. If we cannot get the preferred card, the N-GSX-SC-002 1000 Mbps card would work. Whatever card we end up with MUST be 1000 Mbps or GigE as 100 Mbps will not work. *********************** QUESTION #9: 8100 Workstations (Attachment #3): Are you requesting a total of 3 of these interface cards (one of each card) for each of these workstations: a) N-GSX-SC-01 Network Transitions GigE NIC SC Connector Card b) N-FX-SC-02 100 Mbps card c) N-GSX-SC-002 1000 Mbps card ANSWER #9: We need only 1 network interface card per workstation. We want the N-GSX-SC-01 Network Transitions GigE NIC SC Connector Card. If we cannot get the preferred card, the N-GSX-SC-002 1000 Mbps card would work. Whatever card we end up with MUST be 1000 Mbps or GigE as 100 Mbps will not work. *********************** QUESTION #10: Is the intent to have all NICs, adapter cards, video cards, additional disk drives, BIOS, and load image levels be pre-installed in systems prior to shipping? ANSWER #10: NICs, Adapter cards, video cards, disk drives and BIOS should all be loaded. The NGA images should only be preloaded on the Attachment 2 requirements. ***********************
