- The USDA Forest Service Jacobs Creek Job Corp Center located at 984 Denton Valley Rd. Bristol, TN 37620 is a residential, educational and vocational training facility for student's ages 16 to 25 years of age. The mission of the Job Corps is to provide academic, vocational and life learning skills to youths at-risk. This contract is a Center Mental Health Consultant (CMHC) contract for the Jacob's Creek JCCC and defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The purpose of the contract is to assist students in attaining and maintaining optimal Health and Wellness by providing Mental Health Services as defined in the Job Corps Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH) which can be accessed at the Job Corps community website: http://www.jobcorps.org. This requirement is advertised in accordance with the Acquisition of Commercial Items, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12. The performance period is 337 calendar days, November 01, 2010 through October 30, 2011. Prior to award the contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database located at http://www.ccr.gov. All responsible sources that meet the outlined criteria may submit a proposal. The Government plans to award a firm fixed price contract for a base period with 4 option years. Labor, services, transportation, insurance, permits and license/certifications and all other materials as required by the state of Tennessee and the Department of Labor will be provided by the Contractor to complete the work as described (except for Government-furnished property or facilities as outlined in the solicitation.) The solicitation will be posted to this website-FedBizOpps-for downloading and will provide all necessary information for offerors to prepare and submit a proposal. Responses to the solicitation must be received by close of business, as indicated in the solicitation. Fax and e-mail responses will NOT be accepted. A contract may be awarded with or without discussions resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation that will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors as outlined in the solicitation considered. A Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued by this office to meet this requirement. We anticipate the solicitation to be issued on or about September 14, 2010 however this date may change and we invite all interested parties to check frequently for a possible change to this date. It is anticipated that award may be issued on or about October 25, 2010.
