- This is a sources sought notice and is not a request for proposals. This sources sought is to determine if there are 8(a) small businesses, HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, or Women Owned Small Business contractors that are qualified and capable of manufacturing prefabricated metal buildings on Fort Bliss. The Mission & Installation Contracting Command, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Bliss, Texas is seeking information to verify that there are qualified and capable sources available to provide Commercial and Institutional Building Construction at Fort Bliss, TX. The Government is looking for those firms experienced in new work, additions, alterations, maintenance, and repairs of commercial and institutional buildings and related structures, and evidence that the contractor has complied with all laws and regulations when performing this work. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that this work falls under is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a size standard of $33.5 Million. The majority of the effort is construction and includes the design and construction (renovation) of building 5042 which was constructed in 1962 and is a two story building containing 16 two bedroom apartments to house 140 Soldiers and contains approximately 13,518 square feet. The project includes the renovation of the individual apartments within the building. The magnitude of this project is expected to between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 and the contractor must be able to obtain bonding in the form of bid guarantee, and performance and payment bonds.
