- The NASA/SSC Office of Procurement intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed pricecontract to RKI Instruments, Inc. for the supply of Eagle Portable Monitors for O2 and H2flammable detection delivery one week after receipt of order. The following list the part numbers and quanity to be provided:Part Number/Quantity72-5201RK/30 80-0405RK/3581-5201RKTR1-L/ 462-0125RK/1262-0601RK/1249-2150RK-01/30RKI Instruments, Inc. is the only known vendor that can provide these services. Therewill be only one award made for this requirement. This is a sole source commercialacquisition under the authority of FAR Parts 6.302-1 and 12. The Government believesonly one responsible source can provide the services that will satisfy the Agency'srequirements. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitivequotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications toperform the effort, in writing, to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30p.m. (CST) on 10 September 2010. Submissions will be evaluated solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.Oralcommunications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by theGovernment not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis,based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. This acquisition is restricted to 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and SizeStandard are 334516 and 500 employees respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurementis DO-C9. FOB is destination.It is anticipated that Solicitation No. NNS10355532Q willbe issued to RKI Instruments, Inc. on or about 13 September 2010 with their response dueNLT 3:00 p.m. (CST) 20 September 2010.An Ombudsman has been appointed, Ken Human, phone228-688-1128, Stennis Space Center, MS.
