- 1 Nikon D5000 Camera Body (180 units) or equivalent Animal Care inspectors need a dSLR with the following characteristic(s): a)12 megapixels minimum b)CMOS sensor c)2.7 inch + LCD monitor d)Live View and Live View Shooting e)Engineered for low light situations with good ISO range -often our inspectors shoot in dimly lit locations f)Image sensor cleaning built in g)Fast, accurate autofocusing system h)Auto-exposure scene modes i)Ability to record HD video 2 TAMRON 18-270 mm f/3.5-6.3 Di-II VC LD Asph. (IF) Macro Lens for Nikon dSLR (180 units) or equivalent Animal Care inspectors need a dSLR lens with the following characteristic(s): a)A quality ultra telephoto "All in one" zoom lens so that we do not have to change lenses in the field b)A quality ultra telephoto with a 35 mm equivalent focal range of 28 mm to 419 mm c)Vibration Reduction/Vibration Compensation/Optical Stabilization feature 3 Four (4) GB SDHC (class 6) cards, (2) per inspector (360 units) Animal Care inspectors need storage media memory cards for the dSLRs with the following characteristic: a)Minimum speed : Class 6 cards to accommodate video capture with the camera's HD video 4 Seventy Two (72) mm UV FILTER used to protect the front of the lens (180 units)   5 Seventy Two (72) mm CIRCULAR POLARIZER FILTER used to reduce glare (180 units) 6 Promaster 7500 EDF External Flash Unit or equivalent for use with item 0001 (180 units) Animal Care inspectors need an external flash for their dSLR because they encounter work situations were in-camera flash is not always sufficient. There is a need for extra light to properly illuminate the scene and fill in shadow or reveal detail. 7 Nikon EN-EL9 Lithium Ion Battery or equivalent (180 units) Used for back-up power
