- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to negotiate a sole-source procurement using Simplified Acquisition methods with Coastal Observing R&D Center, La Jolla, CA.,under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(i)(A). Naval Surface Warfare Center requires the purchase of 5 Identical Drifting Buoys. The Contractor is to customize the Buoys to meet the needs of DDG 1000 Hull form Plan's 20th scale model under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(i)(A). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
