Sources Sought Synopsis Sources Sought Synopsis for the Social Security Administration (SSA) Performance Testing Tool Solution. The Social Security Administration (SSA) seeks vendors capable of providing an enterprise performance and stress testing solution that is capable of either replacing or integrating another product with its current 3270 Customer Information Control System (CICS) performance test tool. SSA's application architecture includes seamless interaction between 3270 CICS applications and HTTP WebSphere browser based applications. The solution must provide the ability to perform automated end-to-end testing of 3270 CICS and HTTP Browser based WebSphere applications in the same performance test. Requirements Must have a central console capable of monitoring, debugging and controlling (in real time) the execution of performance tests. Must have an extensible scripting language. Must be capable of simulating of at least 3,000 concurrent users. Solution must provide a way to capture the response time for each transaction. Must be able to support multiple protocols and application servers such as SNA; TCP/IP; TN3270, XFIO, Wait/Post, 3270, CICS, WebSphere, TCP and UDP Clients, FTP clients, HTTP & HTTPS. Must be able to simulate SNA logical units while running a VTAM application program. The product must support performance tests that have either CICS, HTTP (WEB) or a combination of both in a seamless end-to-end transition. Must provide onsite engineering support to convert existing 3270 CICS high volume test scripts to the new testing solution or integrate current 3270-performance test tool with a HTTP Browser based performance-testing tool. Must provide onsite technical support for the installation and integration of all software and hardware into SSA's environment. Must provide onsite training and documentation on scripting language, product administration and operation. Provide product support for future software upgrades. Design and code a performance testing framework that meshes with existing SSA architecture Onsite support is provided at the following location: Social Security Administration National Computer Center 6201 Security Blvd Baltimore, MD 21235 Vendor Responses Vendors that believe they can offer a technically compliant product are invited to submit information concerning their product's capabilities. Detailed responses to each of the above requirements (with substantiating documentation) are required. The vendor response must provide detailed accounts of how each of the requirements is met. Simple marketing information or incomplete responses will not be considered. Reference to vendor web sites is not considered a valid response. Respondents should indicate whether their software is available on GSA Federal Supply Schedules or any other Government-wide Agency Contract (GWAC). You may submit product cost and/or pricing data, inclusive of annual maintenance, with your response, however it is not required. Respondents should refer to SSA-RFI-10-0830. Electronic responses only must be submitted by September 15, 2010. Faxed information will not be permitted. The size limitation for email attachments is 10 megabytes.
