- Description
- ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.501 to VEMCO, 211 Horseshoe Lake Drive, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, B3S 0B9. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. VEMCO is the only known source capable of meeting the governments requirements for the VR2W-69kHz Coded Acoustic Receivers. This is the only telemetry equipment that is compatible with the existing gear that the Wetlands and Coastal Ecology Branch (EE-W) currently possesses. The government intends to acquire this service using FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 1:00 p.m. CST on September 3, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to benjamin.t.smithhart@usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
