- The Coatesville VA Medical Center 1400 Black Horse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA intends to award this Contract for Liver Biopsy Services. This solicitation will be available on August 30, 2010. 1.Contractor shall perform liver biopsies as a prerequisite to Hepatitis C drug therapy. Process should include specimen collection with ultrasound guided needle biopsy, pathology laboratory processing with trichrome and iron staining, pathology review, patient bleeding time, and operating room service. 2.The surgical pathology report describing extent of liver pathology needs to be completed and returned to the Coatesville VAMC within 10 to 14 days. 3.If a second bleeding time is required, payment will be at the medicare rate. 4.Eric Egert will be the VA contact person responsible for scheduling the exams and receiving the reports.
