- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W912JA-10-Q-CX01 for CONEX boxes is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43. The associated NAICS code is 336212 with a small business size standard of not to exceed 500 employees. This solicitation is a total Small Business set-aside. Local businesses are highly encouraged to respond. ITEM DESCRIPTION: 22 each 20 CONEX Boxes $_________________ 47 each 40 CONEX Boxes $_________________ Total: $_________________ The containers must be used and not seaworthy. Whether or not they are painted is not important. Containers must be structurally sound enclosures which do not exhibit holes resulting from rust or handling damage. Containers will have one working set of swing doors on one end only. Containers will be modified by the government to meet a need other than their intended design. SPECIAL NOTE: Contractor must offload the equipment. There is no provision for government unloading at the delivery location. SHIPPING ZIPCODE: 36205 INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS: All bids must be mailed or delivered to Craig Kast, 1740 Cong Dickinson Dr., Room 207, Montgomery, Al 36109 to be received no later than 2:00 p.m. Tuesday 7 September 2010. Please submit the following information with each quote: lead time to start delivery; the duration required to complete delivery from the date of contract award, the date the offer expires, unit price, and Total cost. The award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote represents the best value in terms of quality, price, and delivery duration offered which will be most advantageous to the Government.
