Description
The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia, 22448-5l00, plans to procure on a 100% small business set-aside, the following: Item 0001: 20 Tons of #3 Stone; Item 0002: 3230 Tons of #21-A Stone; and Item 0003: 172 Tons of #57 Wash Gravel. Gravel materials need to be hauled to the Terminal Range UAV Runway construction site via two possible haul routes originating at NSWCDD ˜B ™ Gate (map provided at time of award). Route A is approximately 3.2 miles and Route B approximately 3.4 miles long. The choice of haul route will depend on other range activities that occur on any given day. Additionally, because of various range activities, hauling may need to take place in the later part of the day (3:30 “ 7:00pm) and occasionally on weekends. Gravel should be stock piled on contractors site and available for delivery on an as need basis between 13 September 2010 and 30 September 2010. Hauling will be required on one weekend for 16 hours total. (Plan for September 17 and 18, however this is subject to change.) Method of award shall be Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
