- Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to DPS Infrastructure Monitoring Systems, Inc. of Covington, GA, to install a Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor in the upstream electrical supply for the United States Army Combat Readiness Center (USACRC). DPS Infrastructure Monitoring Systems, Inc. is an authorized installer of APC power support equipment which the USACRC uses exclusively. They also executed the entire install of not only the HVAC system, but the backup generator as well. They are intimately familiar with the older electrical system in the remainder of the building and the required tie in to the newer data center power. Using a different installer at this point would only add unnecessary risk to a relatively simply upgrade project, it would also void warranty on materials and labor executed just over a year ago on the major HVAC and backup generator installation. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
