Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting quotes for Phase I Cultural Resources Investigation of Devils Lake Chautauqua, Ramsey County, North Dakota. Solicitation number W912ES-10-T-0110 is issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with FAR Part 19. The work will be done in accordance with the scope of work and Department of Labor wage rates. Item Number 0001 is DEVILS LAKE CULTURAL RESOURCE SURVEY PROJECT PHASE 3 FEATURES AND THE DEVILS LAKE CHAUTAUQUA. Period of Performance is 13 September 2010 through 7 July 2011. The contractor will undertake two tasks. Task One involves research and preparation of a historic context for the Devils Lake Chautauqua. Task Two involves conducting a Phase I cultural resources investigation to locate prehistoric and historic archeological sites and historic standing structures in approximately 138 acres of proposed embankment segments, pump station locations, and interior drainage ponding areas. Field work will include pedestrian walkover and shovel testing of survey areas. The contractor will field verify the presence of any extant Chautauqua buildings, structures, and landscaping using the information from Task One. The contractor will need to obtain an archeological license from the Historic Preservation Division of the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Key contractor personnel must meet the Secretary of the Interiors professional qualification standards for prehistoric archeologists, historic archeologists, historians, and architectural historians. The resultant contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. The associated NAICS code is 541720 with a size standard of $7,000,000.00. Offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry located at www.ccr.gov prior to contract award. A determination by the government to not award based on the responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the government.
