- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit Applied Energetics, Inc., 3590 E. Columbia St., Tucson, AZ, 85714 on a sole source basis for test support and maintenance services for the test and evaluation of the Banshee 1 System. Test and evaluation of the Banshee 1 System is being performed to obtain additional performance data to specify performance requirements for the follow-on development of the Banshee 2 System. Since the Banshee 1 design is proprietary to Applied Energetics, it is not possible for any other vendor to perform these services. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity - Panama City, 110 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price purchase order. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Department of Defense will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Registration may be accomplished by accessing the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov/. NAICS Code 541330 applies. PSC is R425. The Request for Quote will be issued on 15 September 2010. The award will be on 08 October 2010, and it will be based on a fair and reasonable price.
