- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to award s sole source purchase order to Nielson Claritas for the Nielson Claritas Neighborhood Census Track Demographic Data for the National Household Travel Survey (NHTS). Claritas will produce the database file with accurate estimates and projections at the geographic levels using recent census data NHTS database files. Additionally, Claritas will construct the database of the neighborhood characteristics using the selected variable list provided NHTS to census track and block group designators. Claritas will provide summary reports of key ideas to be presented during the survey and conference. Nielson Claritas has the required demographic update readily available as well as the statistical and demographic communities as valued data source firm. Claritas is the developer and distributor for the NHTS database file and the only source for the database. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is September 14, 2010.
