- Description
- NASA Goddard Space Flight Center plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) forFacilities Operations and Maintenance Services for the GSFC, Greenbelt, MD location. Services to be acquired include: facilities operations and maintenance, snow removal,mechanical systems maintenance, HVAC System cleaning, laboratory exhaust/fume hoodmaintenance, roof replacement/repair, asbestos abatement, painting/caulking,paving/concrete, fence repairs, boiler maintenance/repair and special events support. The overall GSFC site is approximately 1,428 acres, and consists of 34 major buildingsand 114 minor structures on-site that range in complexity from clean rooms andlaboratories to major office complexes to warehouses. The current square footage of GSFCowned buildings is approximately 2,475,000 net square feet (app. 210,000 square meters). The resultant contract will be a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) with Technical PerformanceIncentive Fee (TPIF) contract for core services, as well as an Indefinite Delivery,Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) portion for issuing either CPFF or CPFF/TPIF task orders forservices or Firm Fixed Price task orders for constructionThe Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.See Note26.This procurement is a total 100% 8(a) set-aside. See Note 4.The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 561210 and $36 million, respectively.The draft RFP is also released with this pre-award synopsis. The anticipated releasedate of the RFP is on or about October 20, 2010, with an anticipated offer due date of onor about November 19, 2010.An Ombudsman has been appointed. See Internet Note 'B'.Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any).
