Description
The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to vendor questions on VA-245-10-RQ-0243: 1.Question: The anticipated number of hours is not stated in the RFQ. Consultants charge a daily or hourly rate plus travel. It would be impossible to provide a price quote without this information. Answer: Our expectation is for the contractor to be available for consultation with various leadership groups and/or National Office of Clinical Consultation staff - some sessions may be for as few as 2 hours, others maybe 8 hours to for several days in a row. The proposed fixed price should be inclusive of the full range of sessions that will be required during the six month period of performance. Follow up Question: This response does not provide sufficient information on the total number of hours the government is seeking. Follow up Answer: The daily time commitment for consulting services is not now known but we would expect some variability between part and full day service. The selected contractor will be required to provide services as needed up to the price of the order. Once the price of the order is reached, the Government shall not be able to require more performance from the contractor. 2.a. Question: How many people work within the proposed scope of ISO 9001 registration? Answer: For the purposes of this solicitation, the contractor may be working with from 5 to 50 (approximately) people at a time. Follow up Question: We are not asking how many people we may be interfacing with during the consulting period. We are asking how many people are in the proposed scope of registration. Follow up Answer: The Government is unclear about the question but the Government will eventually expose tens of thousands of VA staff to various aspects of ISO 9001 through various training mechanisms beyond the scope of this effort. 3.Question: What are the specific expectations and goals the government expects the consultant to achieve? Answer: The expectations and goals for the contractor are detailed in the statement of work. No further details are available. Follow up Question: The expectations and goals are not stated in the SOW. The SOW is very vague. Please provide a specific SOW. Follow up Answer: The scope is purposefully vague as the range of discussions that would be most beneficial for the Government's goal of becoming better versed in ISO 9001 is not now known. The Government would expect the contractor, from its perspective as an ISO 9001 expert, to help inform the Government on what we might expect to achieve in the ISO 9001 arena.
