Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.navsea.navy.mil/nswc/crane/working/contracting. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Contracting webpage will serve as an alternative if the FBO website is unavailable. This requirement is for a 5-year Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Production and Evaluation of MK 666 Continuous Wave Illuminator Noise Test Sets. The test sets are is used to test the noise levels on the MK-99 Fire Control Systems (FCS). In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, this requirement is anticipated to be negotiated on a sole-source basis with Omniphase Research Laboratories, Inc., 359 San Miguel Dr #208, Newport Beach, CA. It is anticipated that this action will result in a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) type contract. This notice is a synopsis and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), and it is not a commitment by the U.S. Navy to procure any supplies and/or services. The Point of Contact (POC) is Mr. Christopher Good, Code CXMR UG, (812) 854-4313 or by e-mail at: christopher.r.good@navy.mil (preferred). Submitting a bid from the NECO website by clicking on Submit Bid does not guarantee offers will be received by the proper person or in the correct format. It is the responsibility of Offerors to download the RFP and applicable drawings and submit offers to the POC at NSWC Crane to be considered. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Please reference the above solicitation number when responding to this notice.
