- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This combined synopsis/solicitation will be posted on NECO/FBO satisfies the requirement of FAR 5.201(b)(1)(i). (http://www.neco.nayy.mil) and www.fbo.gov. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302 FOR THIS PROCUREMENT ACTION. INTERESTED PARTIES MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT, SUBMIT QUOTES / PROPOSALS AND CAPABILITY STATEMENTS. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETETIVE QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. HOWEVER, ALL QUOTES OR PROPOSALS RECEIVED BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS POSTING WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Port Hueneme, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis, Sole Source, the following items: Vista Relay PCB Assembly P/N: 8410133, Qty: 6 EA The Government reserves the right to award on an all or nothing, or partial basis. The NAICS code is: 334418 and the size standard: 500 Employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation is a SOLE SOURCE requirement. The contract type will be a Firm, Fixed Price. This requirement is SOLE SOURCED to: Rapid Prototypes, Inc. as the only source that can produce the fabrications required for this specific type of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Assembly. They are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of these boards and the only source that can fabricate these cards per the form, fit and function requirements for shipboard use. These circuit cards were designed specifically for the operational functions of the VLS Integrated System Test Assembly (VISTA) Shipboard Weapons System and will work in conjunction with existing hardware and related software. These circuit cards have already been tested for shipboard shock and environmental requirements. These cards are proprietary. Rapid Prototypes, Inc. is the sole developer and designed these circuit cards to allow a consistent configuration management with shipboard systems. Any firms believing that they can provide the material may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm s ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the material without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
