- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER: MATOC As part of Operations and Maintenance, Army, Recovery Act, this modification has been issued to Hartman Walsh Painting Company, to perform the following work: Repair Cracked Weld on Tainter Gate No. 6--1.1 Provide labor, materials and equipment to repair the cracked weld identified on the gusset plate attached to the west trunnion arm cross brace on tainter gate No. 6. Work includes: Provide labor, material and equipment to remove the attached gussett plate and remove all rust by grinding or mechanically cleaning and check condition of the braces. After cleaning and removal of all pack rust is completed make the necessary preparations to re-weld in the same location a new 1/2-inch thick A36 steel gusset plate with the same type of weld as previously used. The final step will be to seal all sides and of the plate with a single pass weld on all open edges. 1.2 All steel repairs shall follow specification 05 05 50 of the original contract. All welds, procedures, qualifications, personnel etc., shall conform to the original construction specifications section 05 05 50 and as directed from the USACE Tulsa District EC-DC. All replaced steel components shall be properly prepared and painted per specification 099702 section.
