Description
The Government intends to award a Competitive Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract in accordance with FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. An estimated 240 -50 Foot Oil Containment Booms may be required during the period of the contract. This item is required by the Naval Facilities Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, VA 23511 on an as required basis for one (1) Base Year and one (1) Option Year for the period 30 September 2010 to 29 September 2012. A complete solicitation package will be available on or about 30 August 2010 by downloading the documents at the Neco Website as follows: http:// www.neco.navy.mil. The solicitation will be procured as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 33999 with a Size Standard of 500 employees. The Federal Supply Code is 4235. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov.
