- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit sources and pricing under the authority of FAR 13.500 for Spectrometer Hardware. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than Friday, 3 September 2010 - 11:00 A.M., CDST. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Interested parties may submit quotes for consideration by the Government to Amanda.Andrews@usace.army.mil. Please use solicitation number referenced in the subject line. Minimum Specifications: Compact and lightweight: 200 mm X 200 mm X 100 mm dimensions, less than 2 kg weight. Power: 500 mA at +5 VDC (Un-Cooled), 3.5A at +5V (Cooled) USB compatible Detector: Hamamatsu S7031-1006 (or similar) 1044 X 64 pixels array Peak QE = 90% TE Cooled Spectrometer Design: (Symmetrical Crossed) Czerny Turner Optics - 101mm focal length Spectrometer - 14 gratings (H1 - H14) 6 slit widths Integration Time - 8ms - 15 minutes Dynamic Range - 2500:1 single integration period, 7.5 x 109 over integration range Signal-to-Noise - 1000:1 single acquisition Integration times from 8ms to ~10 minutes Temperature stability: less than 0.1 degrees C Maximum cooling 40 degrees C below ambient
