- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department intends to procure specialized diesel oxidation catalysts for CATERPILLAR generator motors (S/N 81Z06289 and S/N 81Z06292) at U.S. Naval Hospital located in Rota, Spain. The applicable NAICS Code is 423810. The proposed requirement will be awarded under a Firm Fixed Price, Brand Name Contract under CATERPILLAR Distributors and will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement is deemed brand name due to the requirement calling for the replacement of catalysts for existing CATERPILLAR generator exhaust silencers to meet exact specifications of the original. A complete RFQ package will be available on 26 August 2010 by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: https://www.neco.navy.mil or at https://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office no longer issues hardcopy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the offeror will be self certifying that neither the principal corporate officials or owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the offerrors at anytime prior to award. The prospective awardees must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make the contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/ at anytime prior to award.
