Description
Synopsis: INDUSTRY DAY EXCHANGE NOTICE October 19-21, 2010, Huntsville Marriott Hotel, Huntsville, Alabama. Pre-Registration Required. The Program Executive Office for Aviation has established the Program Management (PM) Office for Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aircraft (NSRWA) at the direction of the Under Secretary of Defense. The mission of the Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aircraft (NSRWA) Project Office is to procure, field, and sustain non-standard rotorcraft for the Department of Defense (DoD), allied countries or as directed by the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). Currently, NSRWA Project Managers Office is consolidating scarce resources to form the single PM responsible for Mi-17 helicopters and other selected non-standard rotary wing aircraft for a variety of DoD users and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. Hardware and service requirements are evolving at a pace requiring increased industry support to current and future needs for this vital, new organization. PM NSRWA will host an unclassified Industry Day Exchange on 19-21 October, 2010 at the Huntsville Marriott, 5 Tranquility Base, in Huntsville, Alabama 35805. This exchange will provide industry the opportunity to gain insight into current and planned efforts for PM NSRWA, build and strengthen the PM/Industry relationships by providing industry with a better understanding of the PMs areas of interest, while allowing industry the opportunity to communicate capabilities/solutions to current and future aviation challenges for non-standard rotorcraft. The Industry Day event will begin at 8 a.m. on 19 October with a PM NSRWA Overview Briefing including information on current and anticipated future programs. The Program Manager will field questions following the Capabilities Briefing. This briefing is scheduled for 8-10 a.m. on 19 October 2010 ONLY and is open to pre-registered Industry partners. To register for the NSRWA Industry Day, send your registration request via e-mail not later than 23 September 2010, to OPSNSRWA@peoavn.army.mil. Your registration request shall include your full identification and contact information (i.e., your full name, name of company you represent, company address/location, your telephone number and e-mail address). Following the PM NSRWA Capabilities Briefing and a brief question and answer session, Industry will have the opportunity for one-on-one sessions with the PM NSRWA leadership. These one-on-one sessions require prior-registration and will be strictly limited to not more than 30-minutes per Industry partner in order to reach the widest Industry audience for this event. The afternoon of 19 October and all day 20/21 October is reserved for one-on-one sessions. During the one-on-one sessions, the PM NSRWA desires to obtain information concerning industry capabilities in the following areas: TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES: * Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) capabilities to produce non-standard helicopters for selected FMS or other customers. * OEM and other vendor capabilities to modify non-standard helicopters with selected, required mission-equipment packages such as Over-the-Horizon radios, armament, ballistic protection systems, navigation, and other desired capabilities. * Vendor capabilities to conduct airworthiness qualification, testing, validation and verification activities for selected non-standard helicopters. * Industry capabilities to procure and modify non-standard aircraft, components, and associated systems. LOGISTICAL CAPABILITIES: * Industry capabilities to perform life cycle management of non-standard rotary wing aircraft. * Industry capabilities to perform all facets of logistical support through Performance Based Logistics and/or Contractor Logistics Support including but not limited to maintenance (field and depot) and maintenance management; supply support; tools, test, and support equipment; publications; facilities; packaging, handling, and storage; demilitarization and disposal. * Industry capabilities to provide certified facilities, capabilities, and qualified personnel for overhaul and repair to ensure continued airworthiness of non-standard rotary wing aircraft. * Industry capabilities to produce, provide, and support training systems, devices, and aids and to perform aircraft qualification and/or transition training for rated and non-rated crewmembers. * Industry capabilities to perform and provide support for configuration management and control of non-standard rotary wing aircraft including but not limited to development of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Modification Work Orders (MWO), and Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes. * Industry capabilities to perform and provide support for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities including but not limited to materiel fielding, contractor field teams, materiel release, provisioning and provision technical documentation, and MWO validation / verification The one-on-one sessions will be conducted in separate breakout areas at the Marriott and will consist of a senior team of PM NSRWA leaders from either the Technical Management Division or Logistic Division. To request a one-on-one session, send your request via e-mail not later than 23 September 2010, to OPSNSRWA@peoavn.army.mil. Your request shall include the following: * Full identification and contact information for requesting Industry partner (i.e., name of company and where located). * Names of industry presenters/briefer and attendees. Industry will be limited to a maximum of five (5) individuals/attendees for any one-on-one session. * Desired capability area (Technical or Logistics) and non-proprietary information that will enable PM NSRWA to make informed judgments on your capabilities/product/services. One-on-one sessions are not guaranteed. Appointments to be made on a case-by-case basis depending on demand and PM NSRWA interest in desired Industry capabilities. Requests that do not provide enough information for accurate prior assessment will not be honored. REQUEST FOR ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS RECEIVED AFTER 23 SEPTEMBER 2010, WILL NOT BE HONORED.
