- AMENDMENT ONE (001) to REQUEST FOR QUOTE RMP00100021, QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: a) QUESTION: Do you have a manufacturer name and part number for the air valve/airvent?ANSWER: Basically they are an air pressure relief valve. When the water pushes into the pipe the air escapes through this valve. The water will shut the valve automatically when it reaches the valve itself, that way we don't waste and water. b) QUESTION: The factory has come back with one last question. They need to know if the pipe and fittings are Class 125 PIP or Class 125 IPS?ANSWER: Class 125 PIP c) QUESTION: (Tee's) Are the fittings requested Gasketed and are they to be 125 psi as well:ANSWER: Gasketed and 125 PSI would be the preferred Tee Fitting. d) QUESTION: On the 12" pipe you are asking for 120 x 20' which equals 2400' but on your extension it reads 1200' want to confirm qty.?ANSWER: Line item 003 on request for quote is to be corrected. Quantity is 2400 feet, not 1200 feet. e) QUESTION: The Air Valve / Air Vent 4" inlet 100psi, do you have more specific information to what exactly you are looking for?ANSWER: Basically they are an air pressure relief valve. The water will shut the valve automatically when it reaches the valve itself, that way we don't waste any water. f) QUESTION: Are the tees of the solvent weld type?ANSWER: No, they are Gasketed fittings. g) RFQ allows acceptance of faxed quotes to (503) 231-6810 before closing date and time. h) The Request for Date closing has been extended from August 27, 2010 COB to August 30, 2010, COB.
