- The Naval Surface Warfare Center “ Panama City, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit Decatur Mold, Tool and Engineering, Ind., 3330 North state Rd Hwy 7, North Vernon, In 47265-0387 on a sole source basis for two (2) each bow assemblies in accordance with drawing 6893411-3 Rev B. Decatur Mold currently is under contract N61331-07-D-0018 to supply bow assemblies. The supplier of the laminate used in the fabrication of the bow assemblies has recently changed their process for production of the laminate. This order is required to permit the Government and Decatur Mold to determine whether or not this change in the laminate process will impact the current molding process used in the bow assembly fabrication and thus the integrity of the final bow assembly. The extensive efforts that were required to develop the molding process, which any other manufacturer would also incur, preclude any other manufacturer from performing this test fabrication effort using the new process laminate. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Delivery will be the Naval Support Activity “ Panama City, Receiving Officer, Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7018. All items will be delivered within one hundred and twenty (120) days of the issuance of the order. NAICS Code 326199. Size Standard is 500 employees. FSC is 2040.
