- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Wing Inflatable INC, 1132 Samoa Blvd, Arcata, CA 95518 for the acquisition of 3 each of a LWT Sponson Port Side, P/N WG9300025-P. This procurement is sole source for the following reason: NAVSEA doesn ™t own the technical data packages or specifications to compete this procurement. The Wing Inflatable INC Sponson is inherent to the existing RIBS Special Operations Craft (SOC) system. This item has been tested, certified and approved for Navy use and is the only known item that will fulfill the RIBS SOC. Wing Inflatable is the only responsible source due to their unique qualifications as the only U.S. distributor manufacturer of these items. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336612, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Department of Defense will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Registration may be accomplished by accessing the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov/. Award will be based on a fair and reasonable price on or about 09/01//10.
